Next time you walk just pay attention to on minor detail, how you propel your body from one leg to another. This action gets taken for granted because its a basic skill that you use everyday. Other locomotive activities such as sprinting & jumping also occur primarily on one foot. Yes, we jump with two feet a lot, however we don’t walk or sprint on two feet, these are more important motor control skills since these allow us to move through space and time.

When you train , don’t forget to work on single leg movement patterns such as split squats, single leg deadlifts, single leg hip lifts & lateral squats are basic & easy ones to add & practice with just your body weight.
